Ashfield house is an elegant 18th century English country house set in its own private landscaped gardens and situated in a peaceful and relaxing off road location with extensive parking.Our bedrooms have been recently renovated to a very high standard in a period style, the large chesterfield sofas, traditional upholstery, original, quirky artwork and old local photographs adorning the walls give the rooms a lovely boutique feel. We have bedrooms overlooking the beautiful Douglas Valley, all bedrooms have tea and coffee facilities, flat screen digital TV and WIFI. Breakfast is served in the charming restaurant, continental breakfast is served Monday to Friday 7am 10am and a full English breakfast is served at weekends. Our restaurant is open 6pm til 9.30pm Wednesday - Saturday evenings for a-la-carte (not Wednesday) and bar snacks and Sunday for Lunch. The hotel has conference and meeting facilities, an a-la-carte restaurant with an excellent reputation and caters for weddings and functions in style.

Directions

From Motorway M6 take Junction 27 and follow signs for Standish. Turn left at the first T junction. At main traffic lights (Somerfield on left) turn right on to Wigan Road. After 600 yards turn left on to Ashfield Park Drive. Hotel is second right. From Motorway M61 take Junction 6 signposted to Wigan. Turn left at the next roundabout to A6. Take the first major turn on the right. Continue for 2 miles and at the junction turn left on the roundabout Standish, and after a further 3 miles turn right at the first and then left on the 2nd roundabout following the signs for Standish. Turn left at church on to Church Street. Turn left at end of road on to Wigan Road. After 600 yards turn left on to Ashfield Park Drive. Hotel is second right. Rail - Wigan North Western and Wigan Wallgate train stations are situated approximately 3 miles away. Air - Manchester Airport is approximately 25 miles away and Liverpool Airport is approximately 34 miles away.
